ACUVUE® is part of the Johnson & Johnson family and was launched in 1987, touted as the world’s first monthly disposable soft contact lens. They followed this success by releasing 1-DAY ACUVUE® lenses in 1995, the world’s first daily disposable contact lens.
As the company grew, so did their contact lens technology and many additions were made to the Acuvue range.
